Frequently Asked Questions
 

1. COVID: This event will be fully compliant with County and State COVID guidelines.  The event takes place entirely outdoors.  We encourage guests to wear facemasks and practice social distancing, especially for our unvaccinated guests.

2. Weather: The forecast is for the upper 90s.  There is plenty of shade under the tents, plenty of free water, and a cooling station.  Please keep hydrated and find a volunteer if you see anyone showing signs of heat stress.

3. What’s included in the ticket price? One free adult beverage (over 21 only!), complimentary non-alcoholic drinks, a commemorative wine glass, Champagne Relay viewing, and live band.

4. Can I bring my children?  Yes, children are welcome, tickets $20 for 12 or under.  There will be a game area for children.

5. Is food/drink available?  Yes, food trucks with a variety of choices, including vegetarian, will be on site. One adult beverage is included in the ticket price.  Additional drinks available for purchase.

6. What is the attire for this event?  Guests are encouraged to wear your Kentucky Derby or Western glitter finest!  If you prefer jeans and casual, that’s fine too.  Comfortable (flat!) shoes are a must, as this event is held on an equestrian field. 

7. What is LOH?  Lake Oswego Hunt is a private non-profit organization founded in 1936, dedicated to equestrian education, public events, and preservation of this amazing facility.

8. How will revenues help preserve LOH?  This 1937 facility is on the National Register of Historic Places. Our primary goal is to complete the roof replacement project over the historic indoor riding arena.  

9. Are my donations tax deductible?  Paddle Raise donations, which go to the Lake Oswego Equestrian Center’s dedicated roof replacement fund, are tax deductible. Paddle raise donations are the ONLY tax deductible expense at this event.  The ticket price and all other purchases and donations are not tax deductible.
