Corrie Hulme -- LOHRA Team Leader & Coordinator |
| | | Corrie's energy, enthusiasm and deep commitment to horses and their well being makes her the perfect Team Leader & Coordinator (TLC) for the Lake Oswego Hunt Riding Academy. Corrie also brings to LOH a passion for teaching children, valuable marketing and business development skills, and a unique ability to inspire and energize those around her. Corrie's professional career has been in marketing and venture capital, but horses and an equestrian lifestyle have always been her true calling. As a little girl on her family's 20 acre farm, she first learned to ride and was an avid member of the local 4-H Club in Salem, Oregon. Corrie has loved horses since the day she was born and has so far managed to save 3 horses from slaughter with the help of her mom, who is also an avid horsewoman. Corrie has competed on both the West coast and the East coast winning many championships in both the hunter and jumper divisions. |
Jean Jansen -- Instructor |
| | | Jean Jansen started riding when she was 8 years old at Hunter's Court in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She took lessons and attended summer camps there for a couple years until she got her own pony at age 10. Jean continued taking lessons and riding exploring different riding styles including dressage, saddle seat, and western pleasure. At 14, she adopted a Thoroughbred fresh off the race track at Keenland and retrained him to be a hunter/jumper. Jean participated in 4-H with her Thoroughbred through High School receiving many championships and reserves at the shows. Jean attended Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana where she graduated with a bachelors of science in Equestrian studies (Equitation and Training). During her years at Rocky Jean was one of the "point riders" for the Rocky Mountain College Intercollegiate Equestrian Show team. Jean loves teaching and is thrilled to be at LOHRA and looks forward to being a part of the LOH team for a long time! |
We're looking forward to riding with you soon!
