Portland Area's Best Equestrian Camp!

Equestrian camp is the dream of so many young people, from seven years old to teenagers. All it takes is one "whinny" from a Lake Oswego Hunt Riding Academy (LOHRA) horse and campers are off to a great start. Having over 70 years of teaching experience, LOHRA knows the value of teamwork, adventure, fun and learning responsibility for a wonderful and amazing animal.

Join experienced Riding Instructors at LOHRA for the premier Portland-Area day camp for young horse lovers of all skill levels. Each camper's skill level is carefully assessed and they are matched with a horse that can keep them safe, and teach them so much! Campers learn the basics of horse care and the fundamentals of proper riding that will help them develop into accomplished, safe riders. Horses, helmets and tack are supplied.

The LOHRA equestrian camp offers instruction in all English disciplines and creates a fun group environment to connect with horses and fellow campers. Many of LOH's resident young riders learned to ride at LOH summer camp and are now winning Blue Ribbons at state championships and riding on High School equestrian teams.

Memories That Will Last Forever

Trails, riding through a pond, horse-play games, making a new best friend and being soaked head-to-foot because your horse won't stand still in the washrack … that's fun! That's what memories are made of. Each day at LOHRA camp is unique and packed with great activities and learning opportunities. Campers will enjoy a wide variety of activities in and out of the barn area. Activities include: treasure hunts, baking horse treats, movie time, group activities and much more.
